Early access for local SEO agencies

Show clients the work, and what it moved.

Cairn tracks your clients' rankings in search and on the map, runs your team's work for them, and reports both under your own brand. Finish a task and the client sees it, their chart marks the day, and their next report names it.

A project dashboard in Cairn for a dental practice: visibility score, average position, ranking keywords and movement, a rankings chart with numbered markers for finished work, and the keyword table.

Work, on the chart. Each finished task is dated where it shipped, so a climb has its reason beside it.

How it works

The work and the results, in the same place.

Most agencies keep rankings in one tool and tasks in another, then build the report by hand at the end of the month. In Cairn they share the same data, so finishing the work is already half of reporting it.

A finished task, Publish the emergency dentist page, with an Impact section: emergency dentist denver moved from 17 to 2 and dentist open saturday denver from 10 to 1 in the 95 days since.
i.

Your team finishes the task

Link a task to the keywords it should move. Cairn records where they stood the day it shipped, and shows what has changed since.

The client portal's What we're working on panel: the plan for November, tasks happening now, lined up next including the client's own request, and recently finished.
ii.

The client sees it the same day

Client-visible work posts to their portal on its own: what is happening now, what is next, and what just finished. Their requests land in your backlog.

The first page of a monthly PDF report under the agency's name: visibility score, average position, ranking keywords and movement, and a rankings chart with numbered markers where finished work landed.
iii.

The report names it

The monthly PDF lists the work delivered, and the dated marks on the rankings chart show where each piece landed.

Rank tracking

Rankings you can stand behind in a client meeting.

Organic positions from the coordinates your client's customers search from, on desktop and mobile, with the map pack and Google's AI Overviews read in the same check.

  • A drop is confirmed before anyone sees it. When a ranking keyword goes missing, a second search provider is asked first, so one odd results page never tells a client they have vanished.
  • The right page, not just a position. Give each keyword a target page, and Cairn flags it when Google ranks a different one.
  • One check, three answers. Organic rank, map pack position and AI Overview citation, read together for every keyword.
  • Groups, filters and exports. Save a group of keywords, scope a report to it, or take everything to a spreadsheet.
The keyword table: each keyword's location, rank with map pack position, change, a trend line, the page that ranks, and badges for local pack, AI Overview and People also ask.
Map grids

See the map the way a customer does.

A circle of search points around each location shows where the business wins the map pack, street by street, and who takes it where it does not. Scan weekly, monthly or on demand, and compare any two scans.

A map grid over Denver: 61 search points around a dental office, each showing the practice's map pack position, strongest in the centre and weaker to the west, beside share of local voice, average rank and the competitors seen across the grid.
1Where ground was lost. A rival gained toward Lakewood since the last scan, and these are the streets it took.
2Share of local voice. The share of points where the business sits in the top three, and how far it moved.
3Who holds the map. Every competitor seen across the grid, with their average position and reach.
Client portal

Your brand on everything a client sees.

Each client gets a portal with no login, in your colours and under your logo. It shows only what you choose to publish: progress in plain language, search traffic, rankings, map grids and the work.

A client portal branded for an agency called Fieldstone Digital: a written performance summary, Google Search traffic from Search Console, and what the agency is working on.
The same client portal on a phone.
Reports

The monthly report, without the monthly day.

Organic, map grids or both, in light or dark, scoped to the keywords, grids or months of work you choose. Set a day and it emails itself to everyone the client wants, with a written summary drawn from the real numbers.

  • Under your name. Your agency, your colour, your logo on the portal, and a file name that keeps a client's folder in order.
  • Reviewed when it matters. A summary with worrying news waits for you rather than going out on its own.
Waypoint, the task manager

Run the work where the results are.

Boards, lists, a calendar, recurring tasks and playbooks, shaped for SEO work, with a place for everyone from staff to freelancers. Waypoint suggests work from the data, such as a keyword sitting just off page one, and never creates a task until someone says yes.

Waypoint's board view across six client projects: backlog, to do, in progress and in review, with due dates, assignees and a client's own request marked.
Google Ads

Ad spend, beside the rankings it competes with.

Connect a client's Google Ads account and Cairn reads spend, leads and cost per lead every day, read only, next to the organic and map rankings you already track. It is the one place you will see a client paying for clicks on a search they already win.

The Ads page for a project: spend, leads, cost per lead and clicks for the cycle, a chart of daily spend and leads, lead types, budget pacing and the campaigns table.
Search terms, paid and organic: each paid search term's clicks, cost and leads beside the organic rank Cairn tracks for it, with a note that the practice paid for clicks on a search it already ranks first for.
1Cost per lead, by campaign. Calls, bookings and forms, counted the way the account records them.
2Budget pacing. Where the month will land at today's rate, before it gets there.
3Paid and organic, side by side. Each search term next to the organic rank Cairn already tracks for it.
Google Business Profile

Posts for every client's profile, with a review step.

Staff draft updates, offers and events for a client's Business Profile inside Cairn, and nothing goes out until you approve it. Schedule ahead, see what Google accepted, and keep every post's history.

Cairn connects once, through your agency's own Google account, and is built to do one thing with it: publish posts. It cannot change a business's name, hours, categories or owners.

A Business Profile post waiting for review: the post text, a live preview of how it will look, a Learn more button with its link, and the choice to approve and publish or send it back.
Also in Cairn

The rest of the job, already there.

Search Console

Clicks, impressions and the queries that moved, for every client, synced daily.

Competitors

Share of voice against the rivals you name, measured on the keywords you already track.

Written progress reports

A weekly summary drafted from the real numbers. Anything worrying waits for your review before a client sees it.

Claude and ChatGPT

Add Cairn as a connector and ask about any client in plain language. It answers from your data, is read only unless you allow more, and can never delete or spend.

A place for everyone

Owners, agency partners, staff, clients and freelancers each see their own version of Cairn, and nothing beyond it.

Bring your history

Import keyword history from Whitespark and past work from ClickUp, so nothing starts from zero.

Trust

Careful with other people's accounts.

An agency connects its clients' Google accounts to Cairn. That is a responsibility, and Cairn is built to carry it.

Read only where it can be

Search Console and Google Ads are read only. On Business Profile, Cairn writes posts and nothing else.

Walled off by account

Every agency's data is isolated, and an automated test checks every part of Cairn against it before a change ships.

Never sold, never trained on

Your clients' data is not sold, not used for advertising, and not used to train AI models.

A note from the founder

I built Cairn because every tool I paid for did one part of the job. Rankings lived in one place, map grids in another, the work in a third, and the monthly report was a day of copying between them. Clients saw a PDF of numbers and had to take the work on trust.

Cairn puts it all in one place, so the report comes from what actually happened. It was built inside a working agency, against real clients, and every screen has done real work before anyone else was asked to use it.

It is in early access while I bring on a small number of agencies. If that sounds like yours, I would like to hear from you.
